I think summer is probably the best time to visit New Zealand, as it is a great time for exploring all sorts of things such as, Bike tracks, beaches, lakes, etc.
Here are some Places I would visit in New Zealand.
1. Russel/Northland. Small but Amazing.
2. Whangarei. Beautiful beaches.
3. Blue lake/Rotorua. Lovely sight.
4. Taupo lake. Very nice place to swim.
